How Everyday Products Can Be Used In Different Ways

Some products that you will be familiar with can be used in odd and fun ways to assist in tasks you would never have thought of. Here's some ides-

Alka Seltzer- Can be used as a toilet cleaner Drop two Alka-Seltzer tablets into the toilet bowl, wait twenty minutes, brush, and flush. The citric acid and effervescent action clean vitreous china.

Let twoAlka-Seltzer tablets dissolve in a glass of water, dip a cloth into the solution, and place the cloth on the bite for around fifteen minutes.

Chalk- Rub chalk over the handle of a screwdriver to prevent it slipping

Coca Cola- Soak a cloth in the drink and securely place over a rusted bolt for around 10 minutes. Remove the cloth and the bolt should be easily removed.

Coffee- Can be used to repair scratched woodwork. Mix one tsp of coffee with two tsp of water and apply to the scratched area using cotton wool.

Coffee can also be used to get rid of ants-just sprinkle coffee outside doors or any cracks where ants are coming through and they will soon disappear.

Food colouring- When decorating add a few drops of food colouring to wallpaper paste, it lets you see easily where you have put paste on.

Peanut Butter-Is effective in removing bubble gum from hair. Just take some and rub it into the gum.

Rubbing it on jars or glassware will remove any sticky labels.

Tea Bags- Soothe tired eyes by placing a tea bag soaked in lukewarm water over the eyes for 15 minutes.

Vinegar- Put two tsp of cider vinegar into a cup of water and drink to relieve stomach upsets.

Kill unwanted grass on pathways by pouring white vinegar into the cracks.

Vodka- Dampen a cloth with vodka then you'll be able to clean your crystal and porcelain. This can also be used to clean chrome.

WD40- Use it to polish wood furniture. Spray wd40 on the underside and blade of your lawnmower to stop grass from clogging up the mower.

Yougurt- Yougurt is great for relieving the pain from sunburn. Spread yogurt on the sunburnt area leave for 20 minutes and then rinse clean in lukewarm water. You can also use it as a facial cleanser by spreading it over your face and following the instructions above for rinsing.
