Water Vs developed nations.

30/Aug/2006: According to a recent survey with the developed nations, it was found that majority of the cities are facing a major water crises, Governments have failed to keep an upbeat with the water supply.

The report have shown a serious concern "Rapid increase in the population and industries has resulted in increase in demand for water. Many cities from the developed nations have nearly exhausted the water supply"
Out of the few suggestions to conserve the sources, it was advised that industries like agriculture should pay higher rate for there consumption of water and should use the resources efficiently.

In the countries Spain, United States, Australia and Europe, the scarcity is rapidly increasing and Global Warming is held to be one responsible reason for this. Increase water evaporation and lower rainfalls have resulted in alteration in pattern of snow melting from the mountain area. The situation will only get worse with the time if immediate actions are not taken to identify the methods to preserve it.
WWF have identified 7 ways to over come the crises: Conserving catchments and wetlands, balancing conservation and consumption, changing attitudes to water, repairing aging infrastructure, increased charges to farmer for water use, reduce water contamination and more study of water systems.
