Wolf culling? Think again
31/Aug/2006: Poachers and hunters are having a field day in Alaska since Alaska started the wolf-killing program.
Originally intended to boost moose and caribou numbers, this program seems to have backfired in the face of the officials
Two conservation groups have alleged that this program is based on faulty science and violates state law.
Though state officials maintain that it is a well managed predator control program, it raises concern over the rampant games which are estimated to wipe out more than 80% wolves.
There is a very fine line between conservation and killing.
