Planning to build a house - consider updating your housing
31/Aug/2006: Recently Yvette Cooper, the UK Housing and Planning Minister was quoted as urging authorities to make sure all local development plans were updated with the renewable energy measures included in them.
Speaking at the TCPA / Renewable Energy Association conference, Ms Cooper set out the Government's clear long term ambition to support the move towards zero carbon development. She mentioned that it was to rethink the way we built our houses and designed our homes and communities.
Planning will help communities for the future that are truly sustainable. She mentioned that the goal of the government is zero carbon development.
This is a good and nice step towards the future as it will help people find economic and viable alternatives to energy sources, better climatic control and lots of money saved.
